Aeromotive Billet Fuel Rails | GM 3.8L Supercharged L67 / L32 | 1996–2007 | Black | 14174
Aeromotive Billet Fuel Rails – GM 3.8L Supercharged L67 / L32 | 1996–2007 | Black | 14174
Fits GM 3.8L supercharged engines only — L67 (3800 Series II, 1996–2004) and L32 (3800 Series III, 2004–2007). These rails are for the supercharged variants of the 3800 V6 — not compatible with the naturally-aspirated L36 or L26 3800. Confirm your engine code is L67 or L32 before ordering. Larger fuel injectors, a high-flow fuel pump, and an ECU tune are required to fully utilise these rails in a high-flow fuel system build — the rails alone will not increase power without the supporting fuel system modifications.
Aeromotive 14174 billet aluminium fuel rails in black anodized finish for the GM 3.8L supercharged L67 and L32 engine family. A complete set of two rails — one per cylinder bank — designed to support larger fuel injectors and high-flow fuel system configurations for supercharged 3800 builds. 2.32 lbs. Ships fast across Canada and the US.
Why Upgrade Fuel Rails on the Supercharged 3800
The L67 and L32 supercharged 3800 V6 is a widely modified platform — particularly popular for supercharger pulley upgrades that increase boost pressure and demand significantly more fuel. The stock fuel system is sized for OEM power levels and becomes the limiting factor as builds progress:
- Pulley upgrades: A smaller supercharger pulley increases the supercharger’s rotational speed relative to the crankshaft, generating higher boost. Higher boost requires more fuel to maintain a safe air/fuel ratio. Stock injectors at stock fuel rail pressure cannot supply enough fuel for heavily pullied builds.
- Larger injectors: The Aeromotive 14174 rails are designed to accept larger aftermarket fuel injectors, providing the flow capacity needed for upgraded builds. The OEM rails may have restricted inlet fittings or incompatible injector seat dimensions that limit injector options.
- Return-style fuel system: Aeromotive’s rails are designed to accept Aeromotive fuel pressure regulators and AN fittings for conversion to a return-style fuel system — where a regulator maintains consistent fuel pressure regardless of flow demand and returns excess fuel to the tank. A return-style system maintains more consistent fuel pressure under high flow conditions than a deadhead (returnless) OEM setup.
L67 and L32 Coverage
The Aeromotive 14174 covers both supercharged 3800 variants:
- L67 (3800 Series II Supercharged, 1996–2004): The Series II supercharged 3800, producing 240 HP stock. Used in the Pontiac Grand Prix GTP (1997–2003), Buick Park Avenue Ultra (1997–2004), Buick Riviera (1996–1999), Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS (select years), and Oldsmobile Intrigue (select years). The L67 is the most popular 3800 supercharged variant for performance builds with the largest aftermarket support.
- L32 (3800 Series III Supercharged, 2004–2007): The Series III supercharged 3800, also rated at 240 HP with improved efficiency. Used in the Pontiac Grand Prix GTP (2004–2008) and Buick LaCrosse Super (2005–2007). The L32 shares the same Roots-type supercharger layout as the L67 and uses compatible fuel rail mounting locations.
Billet Construction — Black Anodized
The 14174 rails are machined from billet aluminium — a single piece of solid aluminium stock, not a casting. Billet construction provides more consistent wall thickness, higher burst pressure, and tighter dimensional tolerance than cast aluminium fuel rails. The black anodized finish is hard and corrosion-resistant, compatible with all standard pump petrol, E85, and methanol blends (confirm E85/methanol compatibility of associated fittings and O-rings separately).
Supercharged L67/L32 only — not for naturally-aspirated 3800. Larger injectors, high-flow pump, and tune required for full benefit. Includes two rails (one per bank). Black anodized billet aluminium.
