DSS Level 5 — 750HP Rated

Driveshaft Shop’s Level system denotes axle construction tier and power handling capacity. Level 5 is DSS’s top-tier street and race axle — rated to 750HP at the wheels, built for the sustained torque loading and repeated hard launches of extreme high-power FWD builds. Level 5 construction uses chromoly alloy shafts with billet inner and outer CV joint components rated for the forces generated at 600–750whp on a 4G63T. At stock power levels (210–250whp), a Level 5 kit is overbuilt by design — this kit is intended for built engines on E85, methanol, or large-turbo setups pushing the limits of the 4G63T platform.

Axle and Hub Kit — Complete Drivetrain Upgrade

This is a combined axle and hub kit — not axles alone. At extreme power levels on a FWD 4G63T, the OEM front hub and bearing assembly becomes a failure point before the axles do. DSS’s hub kit replaces the factory hub with a heavy-duty unit engineered to handle the increased torque loading transmitted through the upgraded Level 5 axles. The combined kit addresses both the axle and the hub as a system — necessary for a reliable high-power FWD drivetrain build.

FWD Only — Fitment Critical

The Eclipse GS-T and Talon TSi were available in both FWD and AWD configurations. The AWD variants (Eclipse GSX and Talon TSi AWD) use a completely different front drivetrain layout with a transfer case and centre differential — this kit does not fit AWD cars. Confirm your vehicle is the FWD variant before ordering. The FWD GS-T and Talon TSi use a conventional front axle layout without a front differential or transfer case.

2G DSM Only

This kit is for the second-generation DSM platform (1995–1999 Eclipse / Talon). The 1G DSM (1990–1994 Eclipse, Talon, and Laser) uses a different front subframe, axle geometry, and hub configuration — this kit does not fit 1G cars.
