Touring Edition — Refined, Not Reserved

AWE’s Touring Edition is positioned between the stock exhaust and their more aggressive Track Edition. The Touring calibration is the result of extensive sound engineering on the B8.5 A5 platform — targeting low resonance and drone at highway cruise while releasing the engine’s full character under hard acceleration:

• Idle and part throttle: Civilised — refined exhaust note with no drone or cabin resonance at steady highway speeds. The Touring is a daily-driveable system that doesn’t fatigue the driver.
• Full throttle: The 2.0T’s turbo and exhaust combine under hard acceleration to produce what AWE characterises as a “war-cry wail” — a high-pitched, aggressive character that is distinctive and rewarding without being obnoxious in traffic.

Performance — 8–9 HP, 6–7 lb-ft

The OEM B8.5 A5 exhaust system uses crimped tubing that restricts exhaust flow. AWE’s Touring Edition replaces this with smooth, CAD-modelled, gradually-bent tubing that eliminates flow interruptions through the entire exhaust path. The result is measurable power recovery: 8–9 HP and 6–7 lb-ft of torque at the crank — gains validated on AWE’s own dynamometer during A5-specific development.

Dual Outlet — 90mm Diamond Black Tips

The 3015-33026 is the dual outlet configuration — one 90mm tip exits each side of the rear bumper, giving the A5 a symmetrical, purposeful rear appearance. The diamond black tips feature:

• 90mm (3.5") slash-cut diameter: Proportionate to the B8.5 A5’s rear styling without being oversized.
• Diamond black plating: AWE’s proprietary dark finish — a darker, more aggressive alternative to chrome silver. Resistant to heat discolouration with the double-wall construction.
• Double-walled construction: The outer tip surface is insulated from direct exhaust heat, maintaining the finish and preventing the outer surface from reaching exhaust temperatures.

Bumper Conversion Kit — Required Separate Purchase

The factory B8.5 A5 rear valance does not have openings for a dual outlet exhaust system. AWE’s Touring Edition dual outlet requires a bumper conversion kit to be installed alongside the exhaust. Two versions are available depending on your A5’s trim level:

• Non S-Line: AWE Dual Outlet Bumper Conversion Kit — Non-S-Line. Includes all hardware and trim pieces required to modify the standard rear valance for dual outlet exit.
• S-Line: AWE Dual Outlet Bumper Conversion Kit — S-Line. Configured for the S-Line rear bumper’s different lower valance shape and trim.

The conversion kit must be ordered and installed at the same time as the exhaust. The exhaust system cannot be completed without it. Confirm your A5’s S-Line or non-S-Line status before ordering.
