BC Racing’s BR Series coilovers for the 2022+ Volkswagen Golf and GTI MK8 with the 54.5mm front strut housing. Full coilover set — front and rear — with 30-way adjustable damping, independent ride height adjustment, Swift springs, pillow ball upper mounts, and front camber plates. BC Racing’s widely-used street/track coilover platform, direct-fit for the MK8 platform with the 54.5mm front strut specification.

BR Series — Key Features

• 30-Way Damping Adjustment: Single-knob 30-position adjustment — turn clockwise to firm, counter-clockwise to soften. Start at the middle setting (15 clicks from full soft) and adjust to preference. Covers the full range from comfortable daily driving through aggressive track use
• Independent Ride Height Adjustment: Ride height adjusted via the lower mount independently of spring preload and damping — lower without compromising spring function or requiring damping re-adjustment
• Swift Springs: Japanese-manufactured Swift springs — consistent spring rates, low hysteresis, long service life. Better ride compliance and more consistent damping response than standard coilover springs
• Pillow Ball Upper Mounts: Replaces factory rubber top mounts with pillow ball (spherical bearing) mounts — eliminates rubber compliance for sharper steering response and more direct suspension feel. Note: pillow ball mounts transmit more NVH to the cabin than factory rubber — expected for a performance coilover application
• Front Camber Plates Included: Adjustable front camber plates included in the kit — allows you to correct camber angles after lowering and dial in alignment for your intended use, from street to track

54.5mm Front Strut — Confirming Fitment

The MK8 Golf/GTI uses different front strut housing diameters across its suspension variants. Vehicles equipped with the standard passive suspension typically use the 54.5mm front strut housing this kit is engineered for. Vehicles equipped with DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control) adaptive dampers may use a different specification. Confirm your front strut housing diameter before ordering — measure the strut housing or verify your vehicle’s suspension specification. Do not order based on model year alone.

Re-torque all fasteners after the first 150–200 km. Pillow ball mounts will transmit increased NVH compared to factory rubber mounts — this is normal and expected.
