Use properly rated lines and compatible fittings, secure the remote mount, and route hoses away from exhaust heat, sharp edges and moving parts. Follow the engine builder's priming procedure, verify oil pressure and check all connections for leaks before driving.

Account for any change in system oil volume when setting the final oil level. Relocating the filter does not by itself establish an oil-cooling benefit, pressure increase or horsepower gain.
