Billet Aluminium Washers — Precision Shoulder Design

The factory SR20DET valve cover uses rubber grommets and studs to seal and clamp the cover to the head. Over time the rubber grommets compress, harden, and lose their sealing ability — combined with the lack of a hard torque stop, it is easy to over-tighten the factory nuts and crush the grommets, leading to oil leaks. Mazworx’s billet aluminium washers include a precision-machined shoulder that acts as a positive mechanical stop when the bolt bottoms out — eliminating the risk of over-torquing the cover and guaranteeing even clamping force distribution across all bolt positions. The result is consistent, leak-free valve cover sealing without the guesswork of OEM grommet-based clamping.

Stainless Steel Allen Head Bolts

The factory valve cover studs are steel and corrode in the engine bay environment — rusted studs are a common cause of broken fasteners and damaged valve cover threads during service. Mazworx replaces the studs and nuts with stainless steel allen head bolts that resist corrosion, provide a cleaner engine bay appearance, and are easier to remove and reinstall with a hex key rather than a box spanner in a confined space.

S14/S15 SR20DET Specific

The SR20DET valve cover design changed between the S13 and the S14/S15. This kit is engineered for the later S14/S15 cover stud pattern and geometry — it is not interchangeable with the S13 valve cover hardware kit. Confirm your chassis (S14 or S15) before ordering.
