Why Replace the Factory Rubber Line

The factory 350Z clutch line is rubber — functional from the factory, but rubber hydraulic lines expand slightly under pressure. Under hard driving or high clutch temperatures, this expansion absorbs some of the hydraulic pressure that should be moving the slave cylinder, resulting in a spongy, inconsistent clutch pedal. Over time, rubber lines also degrade and can develop micro-cracks that further compromise pedal feel and hydraulic efficiency.
