All-Aluminium Construction

The factory E36 radiator uses a copper/brass construction — effective but heavier and more susceptible to corrosion over time. The CSF unit replaces this with all-aluminium construction throughout: brazed aluminium core for strong, leak-free tube-to-fin bonds, and TIG-welded aluminium end tanks for maximum structural integrity at the pressure interfaces. Aluminium dissipates heat efficiently and resists the corrosion that eventually compromises older copper/brass radiators. The result is a lighter, more durable radiator with improved thermal capacity over the factory piece.

Improved Cooling Capacity

The CSF-3054 is designed to handle heat loads beyond what the factory radiator was engineered for — relevant for track day use, hot climate driving, engines with upgraded power output, or forced induction builds where thermal load is elevated. The improved core design increases the surface area available for heat dissipation compared to the OE unit, providing a meaningful buffer against overheating under sustained high-load conditions.

Direct Bolt-On

Engineered specifically for the E36 chassis — uses factory hose connections and mounting locations. No cutting, drilling, or modifications required. Drain and flush the cooling system before installation, refill with BMW-approved coolant, and bleed the system fully to remove air pockets before returning the car to service.
