KW V7 Racing Coilover Kit – 2023+ Porsche 911 GT3 RS 992 | RWD | 3970C71001

⚠️ RACE USE ONLY — The KW V7 Racing is a purpose-built motorsport coilover system developed for GT3 customer racing programs. It is not designed or intended for road or street use. Fitment is for the 2023+ Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992) only — does not fit standard GT3, Carrera, or other 992 variants.

KW’s V7 Racing coilover kit for the 2023+ Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992 generation, RWD, 4.0L naturally aspirated flat-six). Developed for GT3 customer racing programs from major manufacturers. 4-way independent damping adjustment — separate high-speed and low-speed compression and rebound. Integrated blow-off valves on both compression and rebound sides. Solid-piston damper technology with flow-optimised valves, modular construction, and high thermal stability for extended track sessions. 44 lbs.

V7 Racing — Technology Overview

The V7 represents KW’s current pinnacle of motorsport damper development, building on the platform established by the V5 and V6 Racing systems. It was designed to address the demands of professional GT3 customer racing — where consistent lap times, repeatable setup changes, and chassis stability over sustained sessions under variable conditions are non-negotiable.

4-Way Independent Damping Adjustment

The V7 provides fully independent adjustment of four damping parameters:

  • High-Speed Compression: Controls damper response to rapid, high-velocity inputs — kerb strikes, road surface irregularities, aggressive bumps. High-speed compression tuning directly affects how settled the chassis remains over aggressive kerb riding
  • Low-Speed Compression: Controls response to slower, sustained inputs — body roll under cornering, pitch under braking and acceleration. Primary tool for balancing understeer/oversteer through load transfer management
  • High-Speed Rebound: Controls how fast the damper extends after a rapid compression event. Tuning high-speed rebound affects post-kerb stability and how quickly the tyre returns to the road surface after a bump
  • Low-Speed Rebound: Controls extension speed during slower inputs — affects mid-corner stability, exit traction, and how the car settles after load transfer events

Separate high and low speed adjustment on both compression and rebound provides a significantly wider and more precise tuning envelope than conventional single or two-way adjustable dampers. Setup changes are targeted and repeatable — critical for correlating data across sessions and drivers.

Integrated Blow-Off Valves

The V7’s integrated blow-off function operates on both the compression and rebound sides. When an input force exceeds a set threshold — such as an aggressive kerb strike or a large suspension travel event — the blow-off valve opens, allowing the damper to move rapidly through the event without transmitting the full spike force to the chassis. This reduces chassis upset, maintains tyre contact with the road surface, and improves overall grip and driver confidence at the limit. The blow-off function is separate from the main damping circuit, allowing the base damping adjustments to remain effective without interference during normal cornering and braking inputs.

Solid-Piston Technology

Like the V5 and V6 Racing systems, the V7 uses KW’s solid-piston damper design. The newly designed, flow-optimised valves in the V7 improve fluid flow precision through the damper for more accurate response across the full adjustment range.

Thermal Stability & Modular Design

High thermal stability ensures damping characteristics remain consistent as damper fluid temperature rises during extended sessions — preventing the performance fade that affects less thermally stable designs during long stints or back-to-back sessions. The modular construction allows for efficient rebuilds and component servicing in a race team environment, reducing turnaround time between events.

Application

Developed specifically for the 2023+ Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992 generation) in RWD configuration with the 4.0L naturally aspirated flat-six. The GT3 RS uses a wider body and more aggressive aerodynamic and suspension platform than the standard GT3 — this kit is specific to the RS and is not interchangeable with standard GT3 or other 992 variants. Fitment is for GT3 customer racing and track use.

Race use only — not intended for road or street use. Fitment: 2023+ Porsche 911 GT3 RS 992 RWD only — does not fit standard GT3, Carrera, or other 992 variants. Professional installation and setup by experienced race technicians required. Damper setup and alignment must be configured by qualified personnel. Refer to KW’s setup documentation for adjustment baselines and procedures.
