5-Point Configuration

The SBH-B6PCGN is a 5-point harness: two shoulder straps, two lap belts, and one crotch (anti-submarine) strap, all routing to a central cam lock buckle. The crotch strap is the critical addition over a standard 3-point seatbelt — it prevents the occupant from submarining (sliding forward under the lap belt in a frontal impact), which would otherwise allow the lap belt to ride up over the pelvis and cause severe abdominal injury. All five belts must be properly routed and anchored for the harness to function as designed.

Cam Lock Buckle

The cam lock (cam-over) buckle receives all five belt ends into a central release plate secured by a rotating cam lever. The cam lock provides a fast, single-motion release in an emergency. All five belts must be fully seated and the cam lever fully engaged before driving. Inspect the buckle mechanism and belt webbing before each use for wear, fraying, or damage.

3" Webbing

The 3" (76mm) wide webbing distributes restraint load more broadly across the shoulders, chest, and lap compared to narrower 2" webbing, reducing peak pressure on the occupant during an impact event and improving comfort during extended track sessions.

Harness Bar or Roll Cage Mounting Required

The shoulder straps must be anchored to a dedicated harness bar or roll cage mounting point positioned to achieve the correct downward angle from the occupant’s shoulders. Incorrect shoulder belt angle reduces harness effectiveness and increases the risk of injury. A bolt-in harness bar is the minimum required hardware for correct shoulder strap geometry in a car without a full roll cage — a harness bar brace is strongly recommended to prevent the harness bar from deforming under load. Confirm your vehicle’s chassis can accept appropriate harness mounting hardware before ordering this harness.

Intended Use

Designed for closed-course track day, autocross, drift event, and competition use in properly prepared vehicles with appropriate occupant restraint systems. Not intended as a replacement for OEM seatbelts in a street-registered vehicle.

Install by a qualified motorsport safety professional or experienced race car builder. Inspect all mounting hardware, webbing, and buckle before each use.
