Understanding the Pressure Rating
TiAL's charts assume intake manifold pressure equals exhaust manifold pressure. Differences in exhaust backpressure, the turbo system and boost-control configuration can change actual boost. Static bench testing also yields different values because exhaust manifold pressure is absent; use TiAL's static-testing procedure rather than comparing a bench result directly with the operating chart.
