What the Transmission Mount Does

The transmission mount supports the rear of the transmission and controls fore-aft and lateral movement of the drivetrain under load. The OEM rubber mount uses a soft bushing that allows significant drivetrain movement — felt as a lurch or hesitation at throttle application, vague shift feel, and reduced consistency under repeated hard acceleration. Torque Solution’s billet aluminium bracket and polyurethane bushing dramatically reduces this movement without fully eliminating compliance. The result is a more direct, responsive drivetrain feel under all throttle conditions — one of the highest-value drivetrain improvements available for the Q50 and Q60 3.0t platform relative to cost and installation effort.

Billet Aluminium Bracket

The TS-TM-692 bracket is CNC-machined from billet aluminium for precision fitment and structural rigidity under the sustained drivetrain loads that flex and fatigue OEM stamped steel brackets over time, particularly on modified or high-power VR30DDTT applications. Billet construction ensures consistent geometry at the mount interface and eliminates the stamping tolerances of OEM hardware.

Polyurethane Bushing — NVH Tradeoff

The mount bushing is polyurethane, which is significantly firmer than the OEM rubber unit. The stiffer bushing reduces drivetrain movement more effectively but will transmit more vibration and noise into the cabin compared to OEM rubber — this is normal and expected for this type of drivetrain upgrade. On a street-driven Q50 or Q60, the NVH increase is noticeable but generally acceptable, particularly in Sport or Manual shift mode where powertrain feedback is already more pronounced. On a track or performance-focused build, it is a non-issue.

RWD Fitment — VR30DDTT

The TS-TM-692 fits the Infiniti Q50 3.0t RWD (2016 and later) and Q60 3.0t RWD (2017 and later) with the VR30DDTT twin-turbocharged V6 engine. This mount is for RWD-configured vehicles only — the AWD Q50 and Q60 use a different drivetrain layout and transmission mount geometry. Confirm your vehicle’s drivetrain (RWD vs AWD) before ordering.
