The AWE Track-to-Touring Conversion Kit lets you convert your existing AWE Track Edition cat-back exhaust into a Touring Edition — without replacing the full system. Simply swap your existing straight-through Track Edition rear sections for AWE’s patented drone-canceling 180 Technology® resonator rear sections, and enjoy the aggressive AWE exhaust character without the interior drone at highway cruise. Tips are not included — you already have them from your Track Edition.

⚠️ Compatibility: This kit requires an existing AWE Track Edition cat-back exhaust for the 2015–2017 Mustang GT 5.0L to already be installed on the vehicle. It is not a standalone exhaust system and will not function without the AWE Track Edition mid-pipe and front sections already in place. Not compatible with other brands’ exhaust systems.

What Is 180 Technology®?

AWE’s patented 180 Technology® is a drone-canceling resonator design that uses sound wave interference to eliminate the specific frequency range responsible for interior exhaust drone — the low-frequency resonance that builds up inside the cabin at steady highway cruise RPM and becomes fatiguing over long drives. Unlike traditional resonators that simply muffle exhaust sound across all frequencies, 180 Technology® targets only the drone frequency, preserving the full-bodied, aggressive exhaust character of the AWE system at all other RPM ranges while eliminating the drone that makes the Track Edition uncomfortable for daily use.

Track Edition vs. Touring Edition – After Conversion

Once this kit is installed, your exhaust system will perform identically to the AWE Touring Edition — the same aggressive AWE exhaust note with 180 Technology® drone canceling, and your existing tips. If you later decide you want to go back to the Track Edition sound, simply reinstall your original straight-through rear sections.
