EBC Racing Front Big Brake Kit – 1993–2002 Toyota Supra MK4 A80 3.0TT (2JZ-GTE) | Yellow Apollo-4 4-Piston Calipers | 330mm Rotors | BBK066YEL-1

The EBC Racing BBK066YEL-1 is a complete front big brake kit for the 1993–2002 Toyota Supra MK4 A80 twin-turbo (2JZ-GTE) — replacing the factory front brakes with EBC’s Apollo-4 4-piston monoblock calipers in yellow and 330mm two-piece rotors. Engineered for the Supra MK4’s combination of significant kerb weight (~1,570 kg), high power potential, and the sustained high-speed braking demands of track use. The factory Brembo brakes on the twin-turbo Supra are capable in stock form, but under sustained track use — particularly on modified, high-power builds — they reach their thermal limits. The Apollo-4 kit provides the thermal capacity, consistent clamping force, and fade resistance that a serious Supra build demands. Front axle only — rear brakes are unchanged.

Why the MK4 Supra Benefits from a Big Brake Upgrade

The Toyota Supra MK4 twin-turbo is one of the most celebrated performance platforms ever produced — the 2JZ-GTE’s legendary strength and tuning potential means that many Supra builds are running significantly more power than stock. As power increases, so does the demand on the braking system: higher speeds at the end of straights, greater kinetic energy to dissipate, and more aggressive driving that generates more heat in the brake system. The factory Brembo brakes, while excellent for a stock or mildly modified Supra, are not designed for the sustained thermal loads of repeated hard braking on a high-power build at a track day. Brake fade on a 500+ hp Supra at the end of a long straight is not a comfort issue — it is a safety issue. The EBC Apollo-4 kit’s larger thermal mass, 4-piston monoblock caliper design, and 330mm rotor diameter provide the braking system upgrade that a serious Supra build requires.

Key Features

  • EBC Apollo-4 4-Piston Monoblock Calipers – Yellow: EBC’s Apollo-4 is a 4-piston monoblock (single-piece billet) caliper — a significant step up from the factory sliding caliper design. Four pistons provide even clamping force across the full pad face, eliminating uneven pad wear and inconsistent feel under high-heat conditions. Monoblock construction eliminates the flex and potential leak points of a two-piece bolted caliper body, providing a stiffer, more consistent pedal feel. Yellow anodized finish — a bold, high-visibility colour that suits the Supra MK4’s character and is immediately visible through open-spoke wheels
  • 330mm Two-Piece Rotors: Larger diameter than the factory rotors — providing greater swept area for heat dissipation and increased leverage for braking force. Two-piece construction (aluminium hat, iron rotor ring) reduces unsprung weight compared to a solid one-piece rotor of equivalent size, benefiting the Supra’s handling balance and steering response
  • Dramatically Increased Thermal Capacity: The combination of larger rotor diameter, greater rotor mass, and the Apollo-4 caliper’s improved heat management provides dramatically more thermal capacity than the factory brake system — essential for a high-power Supra build under sustained track use where heat buildup is the primary cause of brake fade
  • Consistent Clamping Force: The Apollo-4’s 4-piston design maintains consistent clamping force and pad contact across the full range of operating temperatures — delivering predictable, linear brake response from the first lap to the last
  • Front Axle Upgrade: Complete front big brake kit — replaces both front calipers and rotors. Rear brakes are unchanged. The front axle carries the majority of braking load under hard deceleration and is the primary thermal limitation on the Supra’s factory brake system
  • EBC Racing Pedigree: EBC Brakes is one of the most established brake manufacturers in the performance and motorsport industry — supplying brake components to touring car, endurance, and club racing series globally

Fitment

  • Toyota Supra MK4 A80 — 2JZ-GTE Twin Turbo 3.0TT (1993–2002)

Twin-turbo (2JZ-GTE) fitment — verify compatibility with naturally aspirated (2JZ-GE) variants using EBC’s fitment guide before ordering, as front suspension and brake geometry may differ. Front axle only — rear brakes not included. Brake pad selection (not included) should be appropriate for your intended use and power level — EBC offers a range of compound options for street, track day, and motorsport applications. Professional installation required. Verify wheel clearance for the 330mm rotor and Apollo-4 caliper with your specific wheel combination before ordering.

Specifications

  • Brand: EBC Racing
  • Part Number: BBK066YEL-1
  • Caliper: EBC Apollo-4 4-Piston Monoblock
  • Caliper Colour: Yellow
  • Rotor Diameter: 330mm
  • Rotor Construction: Two-Piece

  • Application: Toyota Supra MK4 A80 2JZ-GTE Twin Turbo (1993–2002)

Installation Note: Professional installation by a shop experienced with big brake kit fitment is required. Brake pad bedding procedure must be followed after installation. A brake fluid flush with high-temperature fluid appropriate for your power level and intended use is strongly recommended — on a high-power Supra build used on track, a racing-grade brake fluid (DOT 5.1 or equivalent with a high dry boiling point) is advisable. Verify wheel clearance for the 330mm rotor and Apollo-4 caliper before ordering.
