Why Replace Motor Mounts with Polyurethane

OEM rubber motor mounts are engineered to isolate engine vibration from the chassis — they do this by allowing the engine to move and flex within the mount. Under high torque loads (hard acceleration, towing near capacity, or modified power output), this flex allows the engine and drivetrain to shift position, changing driveshaft angles, stressing CV joints and U-joints, and allowing torque steer-style movement in the powertrain. Energy Suspension’s Hyper-Flex poly mounts are significantly stiffer, keeping the engine in its designed position under load. The result is more consistent drivetrain alignment, reduced powertrain movement under hard acceleration, and improved towing stability for trucks with modified power output or heavy towing demands.

NVH Tradeoff — Important for Daily Drivers

Polyurethane motor mounts transmit more engine vibration and noise into the cab than OEM rubber.
