The VA STI uses a hood scoop to feed ambient air to the top-mount intercooler — but the factory scoop-to-TMIC airflow path is inefficient, allowing a significant portion of the incoming air to bypass the intercooler core rather than flowing directly through it. GrimmSpeed's TMIC splitter installs inside the hood scoop and directs incoming airflow more precisely and efficiently into the TMIC core, reducing charge air temperatures, minimizing heat soak, and improving intercooler effectiveness. Also compatible with the GS TMIC configuration.
