Short Hub — Minimal Stack Height

NRG’s Short Hub is engineered to the minimum possible mounting depth while still accommodating the clock spring mechanism required for horn and turn signal retention. A shorter hub positions the aftermarket steering wheel closer to the column, achieving a more natural driving position compared to a standard-depth hub — particularly important when used with a quick release, which adds its own depth to the stack. The SRK-141H is designed with NRG’s quick release system in mind and is dimensionally matched for optimal stack height when used together.

Horn and Turn Signal Retention

The SRK-141H retains the factory horn circuit and turn signal cancellation function through the clock spring mechanism integrated into the hub body. The included resistors are fitted to the airbag circuit to prevent the SRS warning light from illuminating on the instrument cluster after airbag removal — a common issue with hub installations that do not include this provision. Horn and turn signal retention allows the hub to be used on street-driven vehicles without losing these functions.

6×70mm Steering Wheel Bolt Pattern

The hub’s steering wheel mounting face uses the 6-bolt 70mm PCD pattern — the most common pattern on NRG and most aftermarket steering wheels. Confirm your aftermarket steering wheel uses the 6×70mm bolt pattern before ordering this hub. Steering wheels with 3-bolt or other bolt patterns require a different adapter plate.

6061 Anodized Aluminium

The hub body is machined from 6061 aluminium and hard anodized for corrosion resistance and durability. Significantly lighter than factory hub assemblies, which reduces unsprung rotating mass on the steering column.
