Tein S-Tech Lowering Springs | 2007-2015 Infiniti G35 / G37 / Q50 Sedan (V36) | 1.2-1.5" Drop | Progressive Rate | SKP92-S3B00
Tein S-Tech Lowering Springs – 2007–2015 Infiniti G35 / G37 / Q50 Sedan (V36) | SKP92-S3B00
⚠️ SEDAN ONLY — This spring set is designed for V36 sedan models only. Will NOT fit G35 or G37 coupe models — the coupe uses a different suspension configuration and different spring specifications. Verify your body style before ordering.
Tein S-Tech progressive rate lowering springs for the 2007–2015 Infiniti G35, G37, and Q50 sedan (V36 chassis). Direct replacement for factory springs — 1.2–1.5” drop front and rear, progressive spring rate, compatible with factory shocks. Made in Japan. Tein’s entry-level lowering spring for V36 sedan owners seeking improved stance and handling without the cost or complexity of coilovers.
Progressive Rate Springs — What It Means
The S-Tech uses a progressive rate design — the spring rate increases as the spring compresses. Under light loads (normal street driving), the spring operates in the softer end of its rate range, providing a compliant daily ride. As suspension travel increases under hard cornering, heavy braking, or rough surfaces, the rate increases, providing more support and resistance to roll. This is the key advantage of a progressive rate spring over a linear rate spring for a street-driven car: it delivers a reasonable daily ride without sacrificing support at the limit.
The trade-off versus a coilover with adjustable spring rates: the S-Tech’s progressive rate is fixed and engineered for the V36 sedan’s weight and geometry. You cannot tune the rate independently like you can with a coilover. For a street-focused or daily-driven V36 sedan, this is the correct choice — the spring rate is already optimised for the platform. For a dedicated track or autocross build where independent spring rate tuning is needed, a coilover is the correct direction.
Key Features
- 1.2–1.5” Drop: Lowers the V36 sedan 1.2–1.5” front and rear — reduces centre of gravity and fills wheel wells. Actual drop varies based on vehicle weight, shock condition, and individual vehicle tolerances. Allow 200–300 km of driving for springs to settle to final ride height before measuring
- Progressive Rate: Softer rate for daily driving compliance, stiffer rate under load — appropriate for a street-focused V36 sedan build
- Factory Shock Compatible: Designed to work with the V36’s factory shocks — no shock replacement required at installation. However, factory shocks are not designed for a lowered ride height or for the S-Tech’s spring rates, and will wear faster than normal at the lowered height. Upgrading shocks or moving to a full coilover at the same time is the recommended approach for best ride quality and shock longevity
- Direct Bolt-On: Replaces factory springs using factory mounting points — no modification required
- Made in Japan: Manufactured by Tein at their Japanese facility

Fitment
- Infiniti G35 Sedan — V36 (2007–2008)
- Infiniti G37 Sedan — V36 (2009–2013)
- Infiniti Q50 Sedan — V36 (2014–2015)
- Sedan only — does not fit G35 or G37 coupe
Sedan body style only — not compatible with G35 or G37 coupe. A four-wheel alignment is required after installation. Allow 200–300 km for springs to settle before final ride height measurement. Factory shocks will function but will wear faster at lowered ride height — shock upgrade recommended. Re-torque all suspension fasteners after the first 150–200 km. Professional installation by a qualified suspension technician is strongly recommended.
