ARP Wheel Studs

ARP (Automotive Racing Products) manufactures fasteners to motorsport specification — used in OEM homologation builds, professional racing, and high-performance street applications globally. ARP wheel studs are manufactured from premium alloy steel, heat-treated to consistent tensile strength specifications, and held to tighter dimensional tolerances than OEM replacements. For track use, spacer installations, or any application where wheel fastener integrity is critical, ARP is the correct choice over OEM or budget aftermarket studs.

Extended Length — Wheel Spacer Requirement

Extended wheel studs are required when running wheel spacers. A spacer adds material thickness between the hub face and the wheel — the lug nut must thread past the full spacer thickness before engaging the wheel. OEM-length studs may not provide sufficient exposed thread for the minimum engagement depth required for safe clamping force. Match the stud length to your spacer thickness, ensuring a minimum of 1x stud diameter (12mm) of thread engagement beyond the spacer face.

M12x1.5 Thread Pitch

The Evo 8/9 and S14 240SX front hubs use M12x1.5 thread pitch — lug nuts must be M12x1.5. Do not use M12x1.25 lug nuts (the Nissan/Infiniti RWD standard) on these studs — cross-threading will result. Confirm lug nut thread pitch before installation.

S14 240SX — Front Hubs Only

The S14 240SX front hubs share the same M12x1.5 / 5x114.3 stud specification as the Evo 8/9. The S14 rear hubs use a different stud spec — 100-7717 applies to the front axle only on the S14. If replacing studs on all four corners of an S14, the correct rear stud kit must be sourced separately.

Press-In Installation

ARP studs press into the existing hub stud holes, replacing the factory studs. Use a hydraulic press or the draw-in method: thread an M12x1.5 lug nut onto the stud, stack flat washers to bridge the hub face, and tighten the lug nut to draw the knurl squarely into the hub bore. Do not hammer studs in.
