MartenWear Treatment

Boundary describes MartenWear as a second-stage heat treatment that hardens the exterior wear surfaces of its billet steel components while retaining the core properties. It is intended to improve wear resistance. Manufacturer bench-test speeds are not a safe engine RPM limit or a guarantee against oil starvation, debris damage or pump failure.

Assembly Preparation

Boundary's assembled-pump process includes disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, inspection and hand deburring. The published process also specifies stainless Torx fasteners, controlled fastener torque, thread-locking compound, sealant at critical areas, assembly lubricant and blueprinting with a specification sheet.

A high-flow pump does not by itself correct pickup starvation, excessive bearing clearance or an unsuitable sump arrangement.
