Power Stop Z23 Evolution Sport

The Z23 Evolution Sport is Power Stop’s street-performance brake kit line — a meaningful step up from OEM replacement brakes in stopping power, initial bite, and fade resistance, while remaining appropriate for daily street driving. The Z23 sits between Power Stop’s Z16 (OEM-replacement daily driver) and Z26 (extreme performance/track) in the lineup. For CR-V owners who want noticeably improved braking response over worn or stock brakes without a track-oriented compound that runs too hot on the street, the Z23 is the correct tier.

Coated Rotors

The Z23 kit rotors are coated on the hat, vanes, and non-swept outer edges — the areas of the rotor that don’t contact the brake pads. The coating prevents surface rust from forming on these exposed areas, which is the cause of the orange rust bleed that develops on uncoated rotors after rain or washing. For Canadian and northern-climate owners where road salt accelerates rotor corrosion, coated rotors maintain a significantly cleaner appearance and resist corrosion in the non-swept areas throughout their service life.
