Turbine Inlet — Exhaust Side

This is the exhaust inlet flange on the turbine housing — the hot-side connection where exhaust gases enter the turbine wheel from the exhaust manifold or turbo manifold collector. It is not a compressor inlet (cold side / air inlet) flange. Used in custom turbo manifold fabrication to terminate the manifold collector at the Garrett GT30 or GT35 turbine housing inlet.

V-Band Connection

The 1390 uses a V-Band (Marman clamp) interface rather than a traditional bolt-pattern flange. V-Band connections use a single clamp that pulls both flanges together against a conical sealing surface — advantages over bolt-pattern flanges include faster assembly and disassembly (one clamp vs multiple bolts in a confined engine bay), superior sealing under repeated thermal cycling as the clamp self-centres under heat, and the ability to rotate the turbo housing position without a fixed bolt pattern. A matching V-Band clamp must be sourced separately to complete the connection — size the clamp to the GT30/GT35 turbine housing V-Band diameter.

304 Stainless Steel Construction

Fabricated from 304 stainless steel throughout. 304 SS provides good oxidation resistance and structural integrity at sustained exhaust temperatures in street and mild track applications. Compatible with TIG welding for manifold fabrication — use 308L filler for 304 SS to 304 SS welds.

Garrett GT30 / GT35 Fitment

Fits the V-Band turbine housing inlet on Garrett GT30 and GT35 turbochargers. The GT30 and GT35 share the same turbine housing V-Band inlet flange pattern — this flange is compatible with both frames. Confirm your specific GT30 or GT35 turbine housing uses a V-Band inlet (some GT30/GT35 housings use T3 or T4 bolt patterns instead) before ordering.
