Muteki SR35
Muteki is Wheel Mate’s premium lug nut line, widely used in the JDM and performance wheel community. The SR35 is Muteki’s core performance lug nut — a compact, closed-end design with a clean aesthetic and the hardware quality expected for use with aftermarket wheels. The Satin Silver finish is a brushed anodised silver that pairs well with both silver and machined-face wheel designs.
Closed End Design
The SR35 uses a closed-end (capped) design — the top of the nut is sealed, concealing the end of the wheel stud for a cleaner appearance and protecting the stud threads from road contamination and corrosion. Closed-end nuts have a fixed internal depth — confirm that your wheel studs do not exceed the nut’s internal cavity depth, which would prevent full seating and proper clamping force.
Thread Pitch — 12x1.50
These nuts are threaded for M12 x 1.50mm pitch — the most common lug nut thread specification for Japanese-market vehicles including Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Subaru, Mitsubishi, and most Nissan/Infiniti models. Verify your vehicle’s wheel stud thread pitch before ordering. 12x1.50 and 12x1.25 are not interchangeable — installing an incorrect pitch nut will cross-thread and damage both the nut and the wheel stud, requiring stud replacement.
60-Degree Conical Seat
The SR35 uses a 60-degree conical (acorn) seat. The seat type must match the lug nut pocket in your wheels — conical seat nuts are not compatible with ball-seat (radius seat) or flat-seat wheels. Most aftermarket JDM-style wheels and many OEM Japanese vehicle wheels use a conical seat — verify your wheel’s seat specification before ordering.
Lock Set
The kit includes 4 locking lug nuts with a unique spline drive key socket. One lock replaces one standard nut on each wheel, providing a theft deterrent for your aftermarket wheels. The key socket is required to install and remove the locks — store it securely in the vehicle at all times. Without the key, the locks require specialised extraction tools to remove.
12x1.50 thread pitch only — verify stud pitch before installation. 60-degree conical seat — verify wheel seat type. Confirm 35mm shank length provides adequate thread engagement for your specific wheel and hub combination. Do not overtorque — torque to vehicle manufacturer’s specification using a calibrated torque wrench. Re-torque after first 50–100 km. Keep lock key socket in the vehicle at all times.
